WEST RESIDENCE HALL at CABRINI COLLEGE Radnor, Pennsylvania
Size & Type of Project The West Residence Hall is a new co-ed dormitory housing approximately 138 students. Designed by Dagit Saylor Architects, it is three stories, utilizes precast plank framing and consists of approximately 42,882 SF. The building features two wings with a partial lower level. There are two types of suites – a four person/two double bedroom and a six person with two double and two single bedrooms. The average room size is 184 SF. Construction was completed on time in 2006 at a cost of $9.6 Million. MCE Scope of Work Meyer Consulting Engineers was retained in June 2005 to provide structural design for precast plank framing elements. Our work employed state-of-the-art engineering design software to ensure compliance with applicable structural design codes. Key MCE personnel assigned to the project include Lawrence S. Nagielski, P.E. (Principal Project Structural Engineer), Sanjoy Bose, P.E. (Senior Project Structural Engineer/Project Manager), and Terrence Cox, E.I.T. (Structural Designer). |
