Contact Ms. Judith Miller (410) 539-1274 Click here for: larger image or second image Size & Type of Project – Wood Framed Senior Housing Selborne of Dorsey Hall is a new four story, wood framed senior housing building constructed in two phases. The facility features 120 one bedroom units plus 8,000 square feet of common space with a multipurpose lounge, library, hobby rooms and administrative & medical offices. Construction costs were far under the regional average, due in part to the cost effective wood framing design developed by Meyer Consulting Engineers. MCE Scope of Work – Structural Engineer of Record Meyer Consulting Engineers Corporation functioned as the Structural Engineer of Record. Our tasks included the schematic, design development, construction document and construction administrative phases of the work. Both design and construction work was phased. Design for the first phase, consisting of 72 units and common areas began in October 1998. Construction of the first phase was completed in the summer of 2000. Design of the second phase began in October 2000 and construction was completed in late 2002/early 2003. The construction cost was $6 Million. Key MCE personnel included Lawrence S. Nagielski, P.E.
