TEMPORARY LODGING FACILITY Quantico, Virginia
Size & Type of Project - Design/Build This project consisted of the design and construction of a new Temporary Lodging Facility at the Quantico Marine Base. The building is three stories and consists of approximately 45,000 gross framed square feet. Primary structural framing components consisted of spread foundations, masonry bearing walls, precast hollow core decks and a timber framed roof. Scope of Services The project proceeded on a design/build basis with the team led by Donohoe Construction. Design commenced in January 1996 and was completed in July 1996. Construction began in April 1996 and was completed in May 1997. Construction cost was $4 Million. An early foundation package was developed to expedite construction.
