POHICK REGIONAL LIBRARY 6450 Sydenstricker Road Fairfax County, Virginia
Size & Type of Project - Design/Bid/Build A new regional library consisting of approximately 25,300 gross framed square feet. The library houses between 85,000 to 125,000 volumes and was designed with advanced telecommunication and computer usage in mind. The initial project budget was $2,500,000.00. The final construction cost was $2,560,000.00 yielding less than 2% in change orders. The contracting method was traditional design-bid-build. Scope of Services Meyer Consulting Engineers was retained to provide full-service structural engineering for the new library. In addition to structural design, Meyer Consulting Engineers also was retained during the construction phase to provide quality control and inspection. |
