Meyer Consulting Engineers is a professional organization specializing in structural engineering, parking consultation, construction materials testing & inspection, and related professional services for the construction industry. An outgrowth of Allison-Meyer Structural Engineers which was founded in 1964, the firm has consistently expanded both its clientele base and the scope of services offered.

In the past five years, our organization has successfully completed over 1,000 commissions across the United States, in the Pacific Rim, and the Commonwealth of Independent States. Offering worldwide project experience, the firm is locally based with offices at 451 Hungerford Drive in Rockville, Maryland.
Meyer Consulting Engineers commitment to excellence in the construction community is evidenced by its selection to design and inspect 1989, 1993, 1997, 2005, & 2009 United States Presidential Inaugural Reviewing Stands, provide specialized civil/structural consultation for the new $40 million Air Force One Hangar at Andrews Air Force Base, furnish CQC & construction inspection for the White House Communications Center in Anacostia, and function as the overall prime design consultant for the renovation of the 250,000 square foot United States General Accounting Office Underground Parking Garage in Washington, DC.
The firm's primary services consisting of structural engineering and construction materials testing & inspection have been complemented as the firm has developed and matured to include mechanical and electrical engineering and functioning as the Prime Design Consultant and providing overall design team management for projects of a structural nature, particularly parking garage commissions.
Other specialized services now provided by the firm include development and implementation of government required Contractor Quality Control (CQC) design, inspection, and materials testing programs; value engineering studies to determine the most cost effective structural framing systems; specialized forensic engineering, testing, and failures analysis, Expert Witness Testimony & Consultation; property transfer inspections, and ADA surveys & building compliance plans.
In addition to world and nationwide design experience, the firm has also participated in many varied kinds of contractual construction relationships including design/build, fast-track, fabricator's engineering representative, insurance company's engineering representative, property buyers advocate during real estate transactions, and independent reviewer of designs and solutions proposed by others.
